~*~*~*~*Easy to follow FAQ's for #pgsm on irc.zirc.org*~*~*~*~ ~*~*General Rules 1. No vulgarity. Yeah, a few ops slip sometimes (like Nuku) but try to keep it clean. We dont want to offend anyone. 2. NO spoilers, not even if asked. Take it to #pgsm-spoilers. Not everyone is as far ahead as you are. If Nuku finds you spoiling, shes allowed to kick your butt. 3. Do not argue. Take it to PM (private messaging) cause no one wants to get depressed over a dumb argument. 4. Absolutely NO discussion whatsoever for profit and/or non-profit fansubs. You want to argue, take it to PM. 5. No talking crap about other fansubs. If you want to do it THAT BAD, tv-nihon is on the same server and cvme is on IRCHighway. Do it to their face. If you won't leave to do it, suffer the wrath of a plushie death. Same goes for raws. 6. No spamming. It's annoying, and it's rude. If you continue, someone will haunt your email/site/channel with porn mail. 7. Religion needs to stay out, or taken to #pgsm-politics. Again, we aren't here to offend someone. Shinto is the exception because Hino Rei is Shinto. =P 8. SPEAK ENGLISH. Generally, this isn't a problem. But still, we're an english channel. (If you speak Spanish, German or French, PM QueenNepy) 9. Ignoring an op results in death. Plain and simple. Type /clear if you don't like what they have to say. 10. @find. This has been debated. Here's how the tribe voted. You can use @find ONLY if it is something hard to find but if you abuse it, you're voted off the island. 11. Scripts. Keep them to a minimum. They're annoying, and piss of the resident lawn gnomes. 12. Channel Bots. DO NOT ABUSE THEM. Someone will kill you if you do. 13. Please do not constantly ask someone to send you a file especially since you haven't tried !list and even @find. When no one answers it's obvious that people are idle so please try not to constantly ask for a file to be sent to you manually.... ~*~*OP rules 1. Set an example for the other chatters and try your hardest to follow the rules. We're there to serve and protect...not argue and ignore. 2. No hoping/oping/soping and vice versa without everyone's "OK". If you see an op who is supposed to be oped, but isn't...OP THEM. Vice versa. If you see an op who ISN't suppose to be oped...DE-OP THEM. 3. PLEASE SERVERS AND OPERATERS ALWAYS TRY YOUR BEST TO HELP NEW COMMERS WHO ARE NEW TO THE CHANNEL AND NEW TO IRC. ~*~*Server rules 1. Server ads must either: be set to silent/+!list or timed to 90 minutes. Requests can be timed for 45 minutes. 2. If you leech from someone, try to serve it. 3. No camping on fservs. The owner of that fserv has the right to kill you from their server if you're caught. 4. As DVD's of Acts come out, we ask that you do not serve raw tv rips, example when vol 1 Acts 1 - 4 is released we ask you do not serve tv raws till Volume 3 Acts 8 - 12 is released to give chance for people to buy the DVD's. You've still got subs anyhow. And furthermore, nobody should serve dvd rips of Acts under any circumstances. We encourage all to BUY them yourselves. 6. ALL SERVERS ATTENTION!!! If you are using SysReset, follow these directions A.S.A.P.: Go to SysReset (next to tools) -> File Server Manager -> Server Config tab -> And under the File Server Ad Message box, there's "Advanced Queuing:" and under that, click on Priority Queue Control. Check mark "Automatically Prioritize Voiced Users" and "Automatically Prioritize Oped Users". Then click done and you're done. Thank you! 7. If you spam your mp3s, make sure TDCC Trigger is active in it UNLESS otherwise noted its off for a reason. ~*~*Distro rules Aha, we have a new section. Well, guess what? Here's how the rules go: 1. You MUST be a dedicated server for 2 weeks. We are watching you. 2. You MUST help seed or serve the episode when it is out. 3. You cannot let ANYONE who is NOT in distro have the file before it is out. If we catch you, bad things will happen. 4. Try to serve subs if you can. It helps out a bunch. It also gets you a nifty +v in tv-nihon's room. :D 5. An OP will contact you if you meet these standards to come join us in distro. If you give out the distro name and key, someone will punish you, and NOT in the name of the moon. ~*~*TRIVIA & B33R-Bot 1. If you hate trivia and B33r-bot or just bots in general, type /clear. We enjoy your company, we really do. If trivia becomes too annoying, QueenNepy will move it to #pgsm-trivia. 2. Don't abuse the bot by turning it on and off. It makes Nepy and Jasio sad and they will cry. :( 3. There is a trivia tournament 1-2 hours before PGSM airs. Whoever wins is a hop(%) or voiced(+) for a week. Depends on our trust in you. ~*~*Punishments Plain and simple: 1 warning after that is a kick 3 kicks = temp ban, 24 hours after that temp ban, if youre still a pain, you're gone permenately. We generally clean out the bans once a week...but that's your only chance of getting back in once you have been booted. If you're having a problem and need to talk to someone, an op is always around, just make sure they are there before you pour your heart out to an away message. Also, the crackhead who said we kick people for not saying "Hi" when folks come in can sit and spin. We're nice, laid back, easy going folks...just try to behave. Leechers - be extra nice to us.
